Triston’s Legend of The Cowboy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established to honor the life and legacy of Triston Russell Bailey, his passion for horses, and the western way of life.Triston was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 1, 2000, and graduated from Mansfield High School in 2018. Named after Brad Pitt's character in Legends of the Fall, Triston lived up to the wild-hearted, free-spirited persona portrayed in the film. His life was filled with adventure—whether playing sports, riding bikes, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, or enjoying his ultimate passion, wake surfing. Triston was known for his warmth and charisma; he never met a stranger, offered a firm handshake, and had an infectious smile. His conversations made you feel like you were speaking with someone truly unique.After high school, Triston developed a deep love for horses, began riding with a club, and was preparing to start teaching horseback riding lessons in the Spring. Tragically, Triston's life was cut short in a motorcycle accident on January 31, 2022, in Crowley, Texas.The Foundation continues his legacy by supporting those who share his love for the western lifestyle and tradition.
Our Brand
We were going through some of Triston's belongings and found this sketch of his initials (TRB) on the
front of a notebook.
One of his friends said he had sketched this as his brand and next tattoo. We adapted the drawing so that all three of his initials could be
distinguished.
Our Mission
The foundation is committed to preserving the Western way of life by supporting young people in their western activities. We provide financial support and services for horseback riding lessons, rodeo sports, FFA, equine therapy, ranching activities, and related injury care, helping to ensure that future generations can continue to live and thrive in the cowboy tradition.

We believe that all children and young adults should have the opportunity to learn patience, perseverance, and the sense of responsibility that will help them create a positive future in the western lifestyle.
